Divock Origi has emerged as an option for Tottenham as they look for a Harry Kane replacement, according to the Telegraph (h/t Express).
The Spurs striker is out for a couple of months with ankle ligament damage, and Tottenham need someone to step up and fill his boots. Origi has struggled for regular starts this season, but did score the Merseyside derby winner few weeks ago.
The Belgian won’t be able to start many games in the coming months due to the likes of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
Jurgen Klopp might not want to experiment much given we only have the Champions League and Premier League to play for the remainder of the campaign.
We also sold Dominic Solanke to Bournemouth and would only have Daniel Sturridge as the senior striker if Origi was shown the door. The Belgian has always put in a shift for the side, however, his end product hasn’t been great in many games.
Tottenham were the only side not to buy a player in the summer window, and it would be a little crazy if Liverpool sent a striker to help their rivals at this moment.
Many Liverpool fans could not believe the link but wanted Spurs to pay through their noses while some wanted to keep the forward.
100M minimum using Levy’s weighting of player values.

Sell him for £96m

No need to weaken ourselves more over peanuts, he’s always useful for the last 15 of a intense game, always.

Interesting. Whether Origi leaves now or in the Summer, I don’t think he will be with the club next season.

Yeah we won’t loan a player to a rival. That’s ridiculous.

Why on earth would we aid their injury crisis? 👀
