“Phenomenal”, “Best PL player of this generation” – Several Liverpool fans react as Reds superstar reaches important milestone

Mohamed Salah scores against Brighton

Liverpool just about edged out Crystal Palace in a pulsating encounter at Anfield. The Reds won 4-3 but had to survive some nervy moments after James Milner was sent off for two yellow card offences on Wilfried Zaha.

The goals were scored by Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane

and Mohamed Salah, with the Egyptian picking up a brace in the win.

The first one was an instinctive finish from a deflected Virgil van Dijk shot and the second one saw the Egyptian race ahead of a Palace defender after Julian Speroni made a hash of a cross from Milner.

Salah also reached a milestone with his brace as he became the latest player to reach 50 goals in the Premier League. The Liverpool star had a few during his Chelsea days and his 50th goal has come in just his 72nd appearance.

Salah hasn’t been as prolific as he was last season but he keeps on scoring the goals and has scored 19 for us in all competitions. The Egyptian has helped us to the top of the table and hopefully, more is to come in his second season at Anfield.

Several fans were pleased with the landmark and highlighted that Salah had been called a “one season wonder”.
