Italian journalist Nicolo Schira claims Liverpool have opened negotiations with Brescia youngster Sandro Tonali (h/t Express).
The Express claims that the Reds will move for the 18-year-old midfielder in the summer, and Schira tweeted that Liverpool watched the Italian against Spezia.
The journalist further claims that Juventus, AC Milan, AS Roma and Inter Milan are interested in the midfielder and that the player would cost in the region of €35million (h/t Express).
Tonali was called up by the senior Italy side but hasn’t featured for them. The 18-year-old has been brilliant for Brescia so far, and seems destined for great things should his development continue.
The owner of the Serie B club, Massimo Cellino recently claimed that Liverpool were in touch with the side over Tonali (h/t Express).
“Is he ready? I don’t know, he’s 18. But Liverpool also contacted me a little while ago.”
Tonali can be likened to Andrea Pirlo, and Liverpool could do with more quality in the midfield. The Reds have several options in the midfield but we don’t have an out-and-out playmaker in the side.
Fabinho has done a great job since signing from Monaco, while we haven’t seen the best of Naby Keita yet. The surprise performer this season has been Georginio Wijnaldum, and the Reds will hope the Dutchman is back for the clash against Leicester City.

The Foxes travel to Anfield on Wednesday and hopefully, we pick up three points without breaking a sweat.
