Liverpool were finally able to sell Lazar Markovic and end his time at Anfield during this transfer window. The Serbian was not in the plans of Jurgen Klopp, however, we just could not sell him off to another club.
Fulham should be thanked for taking the winger off our books, however, Markovic had a great message for the club after his departure.
It was an honour to be a part of a club so legendary. A massive thank you to everyone in @LFC , it’s been a pleasure. Good luck 🙌🏼 pic.twitter.com/Cb3Ry2eWUn

The 24-year-old didn’t play much after we brought Jurgen Klopp as the manager and spent a lot of time away on loan. His best spell came under Marco Silva as he tried to keep Hull City in the Premier League. The pair failed to achieve that but Markovic has the chance to save Fulham from the drop under Claudio Ranieri.
The Serbian is a decent player and is one of those stories that just did not have a happy ending at Anfield. The Reds have seen their fair share of big-name signings flop in the Premier League era and unfortunately, Markovic falls into that category.
Liverpool have done well with their wingers since Klopp took over and frankly, it was next to impossible seeing the Serbian get some first-team games this season.
The tweet highlighted that Markovic still has some respect and love for the club, and it was a pity the team never got to see the best out of him.
