Lazio star Ciro Immobile has been linked with a host of top clubs after his goalscoring exploits for the Serie A side. The 28-year-old has found the back of the 11 times from 22 Serie A appearances this season and was the joint top scorer last time around.
The Italian has been linked with Liverpool in recent weeks, according to Calciomercato, and Napoli are also keeping tabs on the forward.
However, the Italian’s agent, Alessandro Moggi, claimed that the Serie A giants rejected a €60m bid from Chinese side Dalian Yifang and spoke about his client’s future to Sky Sport 24 (h/t Calciomercato):
“There was a very light risk of him leaving, Lazio does not think to deprive itself of Ciro, who is very good for Lazio, it is normal that it can be followed by many clubs around the world, should any offer arise again?
“I do not know if it will happen again, but without doubt it would be sent back to the sender.”
This would come as a blow to any club interested in Immobile as he is in incredible form for the Serie A side. Jurgen Klopp signed the Italian during his spell as Borussia Dortmund manager, but the forward struggled to find the back of the net regularly.
The Reds have three world-class forwards in the first-team but we could do with more quality in the attack. Immobile would be an excellent addition to the side, however, the comments from the agent claim that it would be difficult to pry him away from Rome.
The Reds have broken a transfer record or two in recent transfer windows and have created an incredible team under Klopp.
