Jurgen Klopp in unsure if Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum will return for the clash against Bournemouth on Saturday.
The pair missed the 1-1 draw against West Ham United due to injuries, and Klopp claimed the duo was set to play against the Hammers (h/t Liverpoolfc.com):
“Gini and Hendo, both would’ve played and then they cannot play. That’s not too cool, I don’t know how long it will take.
“That’s the situation, that was always clear. It’s a long season and you have to deal with the situation.”
Klopp added that Liverpool have to deal with such situations and was content with a point from the London Stadium.
The Reds now hold a three-point lead over Manchester City in the Premier League standings and could be behind the Cityzens before we play at the weekend. City travel to Everton in midweek, and it will take a miracle for the Toffees to get the better of our title rivals.
Henderson started as the right-back in our 1-1 draw with Leicester City a week ago, and his composure in the middle was sorely missed against the Hammers. Wijnaldum has been one of our best players this season and hopefully, the pair returns for the weekend’s game.

Liverpool have problems at the back with Dejan Lovren and Trent Alexander-Arnold being unfit in recent weeks. That has played a role in our defence not keeping a clean sheet since the win over Brighton.
