Liverpool opinion: Jurgen Klopp has to get things right during this training camp
Liverpool whisked away to Marbella for four days after their 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Reds proved they can play the same level of attacking football like they did last season and could have scored more than the three against the Cherries on Saturday.
Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino looked great while our defence, without Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold, were water-tight.
The Reds gave a fitting reply to Manchester City in the chase for the Premier League crown, however, the Cityzens answered back with an incredible 6-0 hammering of Chelsea.
Liverpool seemed to be on the right path ahead of our clash against Bayern Munich, however, Jurgen Klopp has to get things right in this training camp.
The last break did not go well for the Reds
The Reds had a warm weather training camp in Dubai when there was no FA Cup action. There was some good news in Dubai though, as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was seen taking part in some sessions, but our performances after returning from there weren’t that great.
We looked lethargic and bereft of ideas against Leicester and were a little lucky to come out with a point against the Foxes.
The next game was against West Ham, and it was a bit of a miracle how we did not concede more than the one goal at the London Stadium.
It was difficult to swallow both results, given that we barely concede goals. Both teams opened us up with ease.
Not having Gomez and Alexander-Arnold due to injuries hurt, and Klopp’s decision to play Jordan Henderson as the right-back against Leicester did not work out.

Further, our attack seemed out of sorts and it was only in the Bournemouth game did we see the best of the team.
Time to release the handbrake
Liverpool played their patented 4-3-3 against the Cherries and looked fantastic. Georginio Wijnaldum returning to the team was another boost, and he scored a brilliant goal too.
Trent also got a few minutes, and it will be interesting to see if the Englishman starts against Bayern Munich next Tuesday.
There was also some good news with the squad travelling to Marbella, as the latest Liverpool news confirmed that Oxlade-Chamberlain also travelled with the side.
The two games against Bayern and United could decide how our season goes, and Klopp needs to get things right.
The Reds lost their way a bit with the two league draws, and even though we are still in a great position to lift the title, it is imperative we do not give another chance for Manchester City to deliver a psychological blow.
If we beat Manchester United away at Old Trafford in few days time, after a good performance against Bayern, then it would set us up nicely for the rest of this season.

That could be the final straw that breaks the camel’s back, and hopefully, Klopp returns from Marbella with 31 warriors that will tear up the football field till May.
