The 21-year-old had a spell there a couple of years ago and was sent to the Belgian club after not impressing for another club, Gent in the first half of the season.
The Nigerian forward has scored six goals in seven league outings for Royal, and the club is yet to taste defeat when Awoniyi has played for them this season.
The youngster has had loan spells at Frankfurt and NEC, but he has been most prolific at Royal. His last spell saw him bag 10 goals from 31 games, and he should easily achieve that mark this season.
The 21-year-old scored in the 1-1 draw against Standard Liege in the previous game, and has scored in four consecutive ties.
The Nigerian U23 star isn’t the only Liverpool youngster doing well away on loan. Harry Wilson, Ryan Kent and Marko Grujic are all impressing at their respective clubs.
It will be interesting to see how Jurgen Klopp deals with all these players doing well. The Reds could do with some young blood in the team, and the manager has handed opportunities for players to prove themselves.
