German legend Franz Beckenbauer would love to see Jurgen Klopp take over at Bayern Munich.
The Liverpool managed scripted an incredible 3-1 win over the Bavarians in the Champions League and knocked them out of the competition.
Bayern have struggled in the European stage in recent seasons, and the German legend was open to seeing Klopp lead the Bavarians.
Beckenbauer told Sky Germany (h/t Mirror):
“Jurgen Klopp at Bayern. That would be the highlight. Jurgen was the one who taught the Germans how to play football quickly.”
The Mirror adds that the Bavarians are contemplating replacing Niko Kovac with a bigger name, however, many Liverpool fans simply laughed off the suggestion of Klopp joining them.
Klopp enjoyed taking Bayern down during his Borussia Dortmund days. The German won two Bundesliga titles ahead of the bigger team with his Dortmund side.
The Liverpool manager also loved his team’s performance on Wednesday and celebrated after every goal.
The German also has a long-term deal at the Reds, and it isn’t like him to ditch a team before he reaches the limit with a side.
The manager only left Mainz and Dortmund once he knew there wasn’t more he could achieve with them.
The German is yet to win a title with the Reds and some fans were certain Klopp was not leaving for the Bavarians.
