Latest Liverpool transfer news: Sadio Mane wanted at Real Madrid
France Football (h/t Express) reports that Real Madrid have “reignited” their interest in Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane.
The report claims that the La Liga giants were interested in the Senegal star last summer, but their plans were scuppered when Zinedine Zidane resigned at the start of the season.
Mane has been in exceptional form this season as he is leading our Premier League and Champions League challenge.
The Senegal star has 17 Premier League goals this season, just one behind leading scorer Sergio Aguero.
Mohamed Salah’s goals have dried up since the turn of the year, and the report claims that Zidane will be handed £300million to fix Madrid’s problems in the summer.
Won’t be easy to sign the main Mane
Mane looks happy at Anfield and recently signed a new deal to remain at the club. The Senegal star has formed a great partnership with Roberto Firmino and Salah, and the report adds that prying him away from Liverpool will not be easy.
Jurgen Klopp recently claimed that the players will remain at the club and wants to develop them further.
