L’Equipe (h/t Mirror) claims that Nabil Fekir’s potential move to Liverpool could be on after a ‘gentleman’s agreement’.
The report suggests that Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has agreed to sell the 25-year-old World Cup winner along with Tanguy Ndombele in the summer.
The report adds that Juventus, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested in defensive midfielder Ndombele.
Fekir has been in excellent form for the Ligue 1 side and has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season.
The 25-year-old was close to joining Liverpool in a £53million deal in the summer, however, the move failed due to a problem in the player’s medical (h/t Mirror).
Liverpool haven’t signed a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, but have done extremely well this season without an out-and-out creative midfielder.
The Reds are challenging for the Premier League and Champions League this season, and have Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returning from a long-term injury.
Naby Keita is yet to shine for the Reds after his move from RB Leipzig, though he has shown glimpses of his quality.
The Reds, however, have struggled to unlock defences of some of the teams that sit deeper, and a creative midfielder would solve that problem.
