Liverpool and Manchester City are involved in a titanic battle for the Premier League crown this season.
The two clubs have swapped the lead multiple times this season, and it seems the title will be decided on the last day of the season.
Should City win their game against Cardiff on Wednesday, they would lie one point ahead of Liverpool.
The Cityzens won their first Premier League crown under Guardiola by 19 points last season, but Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool were in line for a lot of praise during an interview with Sky Sports (h/t Liverpool Echo):
“[Liverpool] are one of the strongest teams I have faced.
“They have everything. They have good tactics, they have great defensive strength, they have very good high pressing and they have a very good counter-attack.”
Guardiola added that the Reds had some problems with their positional play earlier, but they have improved on that and hence the tight title race.
The Spaniard has faced some big sides during his time with Barcelona and Bayern Munich, and Liverpool did a number on City last season.
Liverpool beat City thrice in all competitions last season and we were unlucky to come out empty-handed from the Etihad this time around.
Manchester City still have the destiny of the Premier League crown in their own hands, however, they have cracked under pressure earlier in the season with losses to Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
Liverpool have to win all their games and City need to drop points in at least one fixture if the Premier League crown can be taken away from Guardiola.
