Fabio Carvalho admits he should have had more talks with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool

His lack of minutes saw Jurgen Klopp face some flak. Why would you invest so much money on a youngster only to bench him throughout? However, Carvalho’s recent exclusive to ECHO cleared the air. The attacking midfielder spoke about how the manager wanted to take things slow with Carvalho and assured him of game-time sooner than later. Even though he did speak to Klopp regularly, Carvalho feels he should’ve spoken with the boss more often.

“Yes, I spoke to him. Spoke to him not a lot, if I’m being honest with you,”

“Maybe I should have done that, I have should have done that a bit more.”

“But I did speak to him. He just said, ‘Be patient. You’re training well, your chance will come.”

While Carvalho acknowledges occasional communication with Klopp, he reflects on the missed chance to engage more extensively with the outgoing manager. In hindsight, he recognizes the value of more frequent dialogue, acknowledging that greater communication might have benefited his development.
