Liverpool FC transfer news: Barcelona cool interest in Liverpool target Luka Jovic
Barcelona have cooled their interest in Serbian sensation Luka Jovic, according to Mundo Deportivo (h/t Liverpool Echo).
The 21-year-old has been in excellent form for Eintracht Frankfurt this season with 23 goals and six assists in all competitions.
The report adds that Liverpool have been linked with the Serbian striker and Manchester City are also interested in the 21-year-old.
Jovic is on loan from Portuguese giants Benfica, and the report claims that Frankfurt are expected to sign him for a pre-arranged fee of £12m.
However, Frankfurt are looking to make a profit by selling the star and Real Madrid are also keeping an eye on the situation, according to the report.
Jovic on fire for Frankfurt
The Serbian has been in great touch for the Bundesliga side and has scored three goals in his last four games.
He even scored the winner that knocked Inter Milan out of the Europa League earlier in the season.
The centre-forward has helped the side to five consecutive wins in all competitions and they lie fourth in the Bundesliga just three points behind third-placed Leipzig.
Jovic could make an excellent signing for Liverpool given that we need some quality cover for the likes of Roberto Firmino and our wide men.

It is to be seen if we make a serious bid for Jovic but the player seems set to score loads of goals before the campaign ends for Frankfurt.
