Liverpool FC transfer news: Steven Bergwijn’s agent claims Inter Milan are interested in Dutch attacker
Steven Bergwijn is one of the brightest talents in the Dutch league. The PSV Eindhoven attacker has 12 goals and 12 assists this season as they fight Ajax for the Eredivisie title.
Calciomercato reports that the Dutch attacker has been linked with Liverpool. The report adds that Manchester United, AC Milan and Inter Milan have also linked with the 21-year-old.
Bergwijn’s agent, Fulco van Kooperen, told FC Inter News (h/t Calciomercato) and revealed that he has spoken to Inter’s director Piero Ausilio too.
The agent added that any club that can provide Bergwijn with the right “base” could be the Dutch attacker’s future club:
“Any club that can give him the right base for the next step of his career is a serious candidate. And the Nerazzurri are among those teams.
“They watched him in Champions League as PSV played two games against Inter. They are interested, I spoke with Ausilio as well”.
Loads of praise for Inter
Van Kooperen claimed that Inter are a great club with some amazing fans. However, Calciomercato adds that the Premier League clubs are contenders to sign the Dutchman with Inter also a serious option.
Bergwijn can play anywhere in the attack and is comfortable on either side of the striker. The 21-year-old didn’t have a great Champions League campaign but he is doing well in the Eredivisie.
Liverpool have Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane as the starters out wide, however, we could do with more cover for the pair.

The Reds don’t have out-and-out wingers and have played Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi in those positions this season.
