Liverpool could bid in the summer for Lyon’s Houssem Aouar, according to Le10 Sport (h/t Mirror).
The Reds were close to landing Nabil Fekir from the Ligue 1 side last summer, but the deal fell through, according to the Mirror.
The report adds that it is unlikely that we will move for Fekir again, however, the French outlet claims that Jurgen Klopp is keen on signing Aouar.
The Frenchman is capable of playing across the midfield and has even started a few games on the left-wing. The 20-year-old has scored seven goals and has seven assists to his name this season.
The report adds that Manchester City have been linked with Aouar in the past, however, Lyon do not have any intention of letting the 20-year-old leave.
Nabil Fekir could be sold if he doesn’t sign a new deal at the club and there is interest in Tanguy Ndombele, according to the Mirror.
Aouar seems to be a decent option for Liverpool given his versatility and potential. The 20-year-old could work wonders under Klopp’s tutelage, and it will be interesting seeing what our moves are in the summer.
Several Liverpool fans were happy with the link to Aouar with some claiming that he would be a better signing than Fekir.
