The Express claims that Bournemouth are looking to strengthen their goalkeeper department and are interested in Liverpool star Simon Mignolet.
The 31-year-old Belgian hasn’t played many games this season, with an appearance each in the FA Cup and League Cup.
Liverpool lost both the ties and Mignolet has been an excellent professional despite knowing that he cannot usurp Alisson as the No.1 this season.
The report claims that Bournemouth are rivalling Watford for Robin Olsen of AS Roma, who replaced Alisson at the start of the season.
The other keepers they are interested in include Stoke City’s Jack Butland and Burnley’s Nick Pope (h/t Express).
The Cherries have signed a few players from Liverpool in recent years. Jordon Ibe and Brad Smith joined Eddie Howe’s side a while back, and Dominic Solanke signed for them this season while Nathaniel Clyne is on loan.
Mignolet hasn’t made a lot of noise regarding his lack of playing time but like any professional, he would want to play games.
The Belgian is an excellent No.2 to have and it will be interesting to see if he remains at Anfield next season.
The Reds also have Loris Karius on loan at Besiktas, and the German has had a mixed season so far with the Turkish giants.
