The Mirror reports that Liverpool are planning to hold two victory parades should they land the Premier League and Champions League this season.
The Reds face Tottenham in the Champions League final on 1 June while the Premier League title will be decided this weekend.
Manchester City hold a one-point lead over us in the league and have to defeat Brighton away to secure the title.
The Reds face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield and know a slip by City can open the door for us to win the title.
Liverpool could lift the Premier League on Sunday, and the report claims that an open-top bus parade will be held through the city on Monday.
Should the Reds then win the Champions League, they will hold another bus parade on 2 June, according to the report.
The mayor of Liverpool, Joe Anderson, told the Liverpool Echo (h/t Mirror) winning the trophies would provide a positive impact in the city, and he predicted a heroes’ welcome should the Reds land even one title:
“It rightly generates huge pride and attracts massive international attention.
“If the Reds win one or two trophies, they will receive a well-deserved heroes’ welcome and we will put on a show to make the city proud.”
The Premier League title seems a little out of reach as we need a miracle, but this season has been something else.
We should start the Champions League final as favourites, however, nothing should be taken for granted as Spurs will want to create some history of their own on 1 June.
