Liverpool FC transfer news: Reds ready to sell Rafa Camacho after refusal to sign contract
James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo reports that the Reds are looking to sell Rafa Camacho in the summer.
The report claims that the 19-year-old Portuguese rejected a new deal from Liverpool and told Michael Edwards that he was not going to accept a contract.
This leaves Liverpool with no choice but to sell the youngster, and the report adds that there has been interest from Sporting Lisbon and Wolverhampton Wanderers for Camacho.
Reds won’t let Camacho leave easily
The report adds that Liverpool are looking at £10million for the versatile youngster and will keep him for another season if their price is not met.
Camacho played in the FA Cup loss to Wolves this season and made his Premier League debut in the win against Crystal Palace at Anfield.
The youngster turned up as a right-back for the two clashes but Camacho can play up top and impressed as a wide player in a U-23 game.
The 19-year-old faces a lot of competition for places in the Liverpool first-team and it makes sense to sell him should he not sign a new deal.
The Reds have several talented youngsters in the team, and it will be interesting to see what we do with the likes of Harry Wilson, Marko Grujic and Ryan Kent.
