The Express reports that Jurgen Klopp is still interested in Lyon attacker Nabil Fekir.
The Frenchman almost joined Liverpool last season in a £53m deal, according to the report, however, the signing could not be completed due to a problem in his medical.
The 25-year-old remained at Lyon last season but lifted the World Cup with France in the summer. The report claims that the Ligue 1 giants want to cash in on the Frenchman.
Manchester City are also interested in the attacker who scored 12 goals for Lyon last season, and the report claims that Klopp wants to sign the Frenchman for lesser than what he was going for in the summer.
The report adds that Lyon are hopeful that the interest from the Premier League sides could see them get a good deal for Fekir.
Liverpool won the Champions League on Saturday by defeating Tottenham, and it will be interesting to see what our action is in the summer.
There isn’t a lot we can do to improve the first-team but having another quality attacker to call upon from the bench could help us breakdown the tougher defences.
Fekir can play in several positions, and Liverpool could do with some cover for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
The pair will be away on AFCON duty in the summer and we need to have some fresh faces ahead of the next season under Jurgen Klopp.
