Liverpool FC transfer news: Adrien Rabiot prefers a move to Liverpool despite interest from rivals
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot prefers a move to newly crowned Champions League winners Liverpool, according to TF1 (h/t Liverpool Echo).
The 24-year-old has not played for the French side since December and the report claims that Rabiot has been dropped from the first-team since the winter.
The Frenchman is out of a contract at PSG in the summer, and the report adds that two of our rivals are interested in the midfielder.
Manchester United and Everton are negotiating a deal to sign the 24-year-old, with the Red Devils offering him a staggering a £9m yearly salary and £4m as a signing on bonus, according to the report.
Liverpool’s midfield is well stocked
Rabiot could have been a great signing for us if we did not have such a quality midfield at the club.
Jordan Henderson led us to our sixth Champions League title, partnering Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho in the midfield.
The Reds also have Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and James Milner to slot into the midfield while Adam Lallana can do a job as well.
Liverpool are champions of Europe again and it will be interesting to see what our transfer activity is in the summer. The Reds spent in the previous summer and that helped us lift the Champions League trophy this season.

A similar outlay this summer could see us land the one trophy that has eluded us for years, the Premier League.
