Latest Liverpool transfer news: Liverpool are not interest in signing Dorukhan Tokoz

Liverpool are not interested in signing Dorukhan Tokoz of Besiktas, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The 23-year-old Turkish star plays as a defensive midfielder and can slot into the right-back slot too.

The Turkish international was linked to the Reds recently by Fotomac (h/t Liverpool Echo), and a £6m bid from Italian giants Udinese was also turned down by Besiktas.

The report claims that Tokoz is valued at £10m, but the Reds will not be moving for the Turkish international.

Jurgen Klopp has several quality midfielders to select from at Liverpool, and we have seen him mix his team up well.

The Reds are yet to see the best of Naby Keita on a consistent basis while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returned from a serious injury in the previous campaign.

Liverpool could do with some squad players coming in, and it will be interesting to see who we move for in the summer.

The Liverpool Echo claims that Tokoz is not even on our radar, and we are not going to move for another star.

Not signing Southampton star

The report adds that the Reds are not looking to sign Alex McCarthy of Southampton as a back-up for Alisson. The Reds could still need a No.2 keeper in the summer should Simon Mignolet leave (h/t Liverpool Echo).
