Latest Liverpool transfer news: Real Betis interested in Divock Origi
Estadio Deportivo (h/t Daily Mail) reports that Spanish side Real Betis are interested in Divock Origi.
The Liverpool star scored some crucial goals in our Champions League winning run and has just one year left on his current deal.
The report claims that the Reds have planned contract talks with the 24-year-old but could recoup some money for the Belgian if they sell him in this window.
Betis will make contact with the Reds over the 24-year-old, according to the report.
Origi was an important member of the team last season after scoring winners against Newcastle and Everton too.
The Belgian had a tough time during his loan spell at Wolfsburg but proved he can come up with the goods for the Reds.
Liverpool need to keep cover for Firmino
Origi’s stock might be high thanks to his goal in the Champions League final, but the Belgian also scored a brace in the 4-0 win over Barcelona in the semi-final second leg.
The 24-year-old started the semi-final clash against Barca and that was partly due to Roberto Firmino picking up an injury.
The Reds allowed Daniel Sturridge to leave in the summer, and that only leaves Rhian Brewster and Origi as cover for Firmino.
Origi still has time to reach his potential and keeping him for one more year makes sense.

If the Reds receive a great offer for the Belgian, it might be tough to resist but we would need a striker coming in the summer.
