Estadio Deportivo (h/t Express) reports that Liverpool are interested in signing Rennes midfielder Benjamin Bourigeaud.
The report adds that Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United are also keen on the 25-year-old.
Bourigeaud enjoyed a fine season with the Ligue 1 side, as he scored nine goals and provided six assists in all competitions.
The report adds that Sevilla have seen an £11m bid rejected for the midfielder while Rennes want close to £18m for the rising star.
Italian sides Juventus, Napoli, AS Roma and the two Milan giants are also keeping tabs on Bourigeaud, according to the report.
Liverpool have a pretty strong starting XI, though we could do with more quality on our bench.
Xherdan Shaqiri, Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are decent players to have on the bench, but Bourigeaud could add more given his versatility.
The Frenchman normally starts as an attacking midfielder, however, he played on both wings last season for Rennes. The 25-year-old can also do a job as a defensive midfielder, and he could provide cover for several positions next season.
Jurgen Klopp spent a lot last summer but doesn’t need to be as lavish in this transfer window.
The Reds need to shore up other positions too, as Alberto Moreno and Daniel Sturridge have left the club after their contracts expired.
