Latest Liverpool news: Virgil van Dijk spotted training at Rangers training camp
Chris Jack of the Evening Times tweeted a photograph of Virgil van Dijk training at the Rangers base in Portugal.
The Liverpool Echo added that Van Dijk was using the same training facility as Steven Gerrard’s Gers, and was with his personal trainer as he looks to get back to fitness for the new season.
Van Dijk wasn’t the only player to use the facility with the report claiming that former Chelsea star John Terry was also present.
The former Blues star is the assistant manager at newly promoted Aston Villa.
Van Dijk set for another colossal season
The Dutch defender was brilliant for Liverpool last time around as we lifted the Champions League by defeating Tottenham.
Van Dijk was excellent throughout the campaign and ensured our defence was the best in the league.
The 27-year-old also helped the Netherlands reach the final of the Nations League, but could not get the better of Portugal.
Van Dijk will be important for our upcoming season, but the Reds made their first move in the transfer window by signing Sepp van den Berg from PEC Zwolle.

The 17-year-old Dutch defender is a talent for the future, and it will be interesting to see how he develops under Jurgen Klopp next season.
