Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur confirmed that Liverpool have offered Divock Origi a new deal.
The 24-year-old scored in the Champions League final win over Tottenham, and also bagged some crucial goals in the campaign.
Origi scored winners against Newcastle and Everton, and also bagged a brace against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals.
The Belgian has one year left on his current deal, and Terreur confirmed that positive talks were held between Origi’s party and Liverpool.
The journalist added that the Belgian is away on holiday and has to make a decision once he returns.
The Belgian should stick with Liverpool after his impressive performances in the previous campaign.
He would not be starting every game or replacing Roberto Firmino in the attack, but should play more given our packed schedule.
The 24-year-old was a handy substitute last season and even played out wide in certain games. He always gave 100% on the pitch, and no one can question his attitude on the pitch,
Origi has revitalised his career at Anfield after a poor loan spell at Wolfsburg and can give one more season to the Reds before deciding if he wants to leave.
The Belgian still is young and can improve under Jurgen Klopp next season.
