Liverpool FC transfer news: Jurgen Klopp wants Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos at Anfield

Marca (h/t Metro) claims that Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos.

The 22-year-old had an excellent campaign with the Spanish U21 side as they lifted the Euros recently.

However, the report claims that the Spaniard is not in Zinedine Zidane’s plans for next season.

The attacking midfielder wasn’t a regular last season, and the report

adds that Real are open to offers for the 22-year-old.

Premier League pair Arsenal and Tottenham are also interested in Ceballos and are in the race to sign the Spaniard (h/t Metro).

Klopp likes Ceballos’ dynamism

The report claims that Klopp believes Ceballos can add dynamism to the Reds, something he expected from Naby Keita.

The Guinea midfielder joined from RB Leipzig but has struggled with injuries since joining us. Keita also picked up a problem during the Africa Cup of Nations and has withdrawn from the tournament.

want to sign Ceballos on a permanent deal, however, Real are only open to letting the youngster leave on loan for a season (h/t Metro).

The report adds that Tottenham have an edge over the Reds and Arsenal, as they are willing to include a buy-back option in any deal for Ceballos.

The Spaniard could also act as a sweetener as Real try to sign Christian Eriksen from Spurs (h/t Metro).

Ceballos could be a smart signing for the Reds given his potential. The 22-year-old mostly plays as an attacking midfielder but is comfortable playing out wide too.

However, there is no point in signing him just for one season and sending him back to Real.
