The Evening Standard (h/t Metro) claims that Liverpool are amongst several clubs interested in Fulham youngster Harvey Elliott.
The Fulham starlet became the youngest player to make his Premier League debut when he came on to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Elliott was just 16 years and 30 days old against Wolves, and the report claims that the youngster has failed to agree on a new deal with the Championship side.
The report adds that RB Leipzig, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also monitoring the situation of the attacker.
The Championship side would be due compensation should Elliott remain in England, and that would be a huge financial blow to the side.
Fulham were relegated from the Premier League last season despite spending heavily in hopes of remaining in the competition.
Elliott is capable of playing on either wing, and it will be interesting to see if we make a move for the youngster.
The Reds have seen Harry Wilson do well out wide on recent loan deals, and we should always be on the lookout for quality young talent that can develop further under our coaches.
Liverpool haven’t been extremely busy in the summer, but have signed Sepp van den Berg from PEC Zwolle.
The 17-year-old centre-back is a smart signing for the future, and it will be interesting to track his development in the coming months.
