The report adds that Jurgen Klopp does not want to lose Simon Mignolet in the summer, and the German recently claimed that he saw the Belgian’s future at Liverpool.

However, Cakir is a target for the Reds, according to the report, and Liverpool are short of goalkeepers ahead of their US tour.

Caoimhin Kelleher and Vitezslav Jaros picked up injuries recently while Kamil Grabara will join Huddersfield on loan. Alisson is still away on a break after winning the Copa America, and the Reds have moved for free agent Andy Lonergan.

The Turkish keeper could develop into a world-class keeper, however, the Reds already have one of the best in the world guarding the net.
