Latest Liverpool news: Reds train ahead of pre-season US tour clashes

The Liverpool team reached Indiana for their first pre-season game of the US tour.

The Reds face Dortmund at the Notre Dame Stadium in a couple of days and then face Sevilla and Sporting Lisbon.

Liverpool have won both their pre-season games so far, but have been without some of their big hitters.

Virgil van Dijk was one of the stars who returned recently, and the Dutch defender should feature in some of the upcoming games.

Club captain Jordan Henderson also came back and the midfielder was joined by Georginio Wijnaldum in training.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was also pictured in training with Jurgen Klopp looking on as his players got into shape.

Young and experienced players looking to impress

Ryan Kent, Harry Wilson and Ben Woodburn have a point to prove this pre-season, and it will be interesting to see if they remain at Anfield once the season starts.

Wilson and Kent have looked impressive during the two games so far, but Adam Lallana also has a big season ahead of him.

The English midfielder struggled with injuries in the previous campaign, and we need him to remain fit in the coming months.

Fabinho was one of the stars from the previous campaign and we also got a glimpse of Divock Origi doing his bit in training.

The Belgian signed a new deal recently to extend his stay at Anfield and should play more games next season.
