Liverpool completed the signing of Harvey Elliott from Fulham.
The 16-year-old winger became the youngest player to play in the Premier League after making his debut with the Cottagers.
Elliott could not help Fulham avoid relegation and is set to join the Liverpool squad for the friendly against Napoli.
The release from the club adds that the English youngster will also travel with the side for the Evian training camp.
Elliott is one of the brightest talents in the Premier League and becomes our second signing with Sepp van den Berg joining earlier in the transfer window.
The youngster took to Instagram to share his delight after signing for his boyhood club.
The Reds haven’t made any big signings in this window, when compared to the previous summer.
Liverpool have a quality side and could have done with cover for the likes of the full-backs and wingers.
However, Harry Wilson can provide cover in the attack while Rhian Brewster has been promoted to the senior side.
Andy Robertson could still use some competition and cover after Alberto Moreno left.
It will be interesting to see which other players we might sign with the transfer window closing on 8 August.
Elliott is a great talent for the future
