Liverpool FC transfer news: Reds uninterested in Kamano

The Liverpool Echo has quashed rumours of the Reds’ move for Francois Kamano.

The 23-year-old was linked with a move to Liverpool by Calciomercato (h/t Liverpool Echo) and he scored 13 goals in all competitions last season.

The Guinea international even featured in the Africa Cup of Nations and is capable of playing anywhere in the attack.

The report adds that Liverpool were ready to spend €15million on the Bordeaux striker.

The Liverpool Echo now claims that the Champions League winners are not interested in moving for the Bordeaux striker.

Liverpool could do with a versatile forward

The Reds still need an attacker who can provide cover for our wide players.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are two of the best in the world, and we have Divock Origi, Rhian Brewster and Xherdan Shaqiri who can play out wide.

However, Origi also did a great job down the middle in place of Roberto Firmino in the previous campaign and needs to do something similar this season too.

Brewster would be playing his first season with the Liverpool senior team while Shaqiri was barely used by Jurgen Klopp last season.

A pacey forward could be great for the Reds, and it will be interesting to see if we move for another star before the start of the campaign.
