Latest Liverpool news: Reds train hard for top of the table clash against Arsenal

Liverpool face Arsenal in the game of the Premier League this weekend. The Reds and the Gunners are the only clubs to have won their opening games of the Premier League season, and this is a great chance for us to create a gap with the rest of our rivals.

Arsenal have looked impressive with some of their new signings doing well. Dani Ceballos looks to be a handful while their attack has seen the addition of Nicolas Pepe.

The Reds had to fight hard for the three points against Southampton but they had returned from a tough UEFA Super Cup victory.

Jurgen Klopp saw his side train ahead of the Arsenal clash and two of our stars were paired up for one of the drills.

Roberto Firmino looks close to being at his best and scored in the win over the Saints, while Virgil van Dijk has been great for the Reds.

Liverpool have to be smart in the attack and in the defence, and we could see Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson link up on Saturday.

The pair created several chances at St Mary’s and took part in training as a team. Mohamed Salah was tied with Divock Origi, and the Egyptian should feature from the start this weekend.

Midfield conundrum for Klopp

Klopp has mixed up his midfield this season and it will be interesting to see who starts on Saturday.

Fabinho suffered a cramp in the win over Chelsea while James Milner got a nasty cut against Southampton.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looked good in the second half against the Saints, but Georginio Wijnaldum has a more rounded game when compared to the English midfielder.

The manager also has to make some tough decisions for the heart of the defence. Joe Gomez and Joel Matip have been rotated alongside Van Dijk.

Gomez provides us with more pace at the back while Matip reads the game slightly better than the English youngster.

Liverpool need to be wary of the threat possessed by the Gunners on Saturday, but we should start the game as favourites.
