There was a lot to cheer about for Liverpool at the recent UEFA Champions League draw.
The Reds saw Virgil van Dijk and Alisson pick up awards for their performances last season, but the goalkeeper hasn’t featured for us since the opening day of the campaign.
Alisson left the field with a calf problem against Norwich and we have seen Adrian take over from the Brazilian.
Although the Reds have won every game with the Spaniard starting in goal, the former West Ham keeper is still adjusting to our playing style and has made a few errors too.
Our next game is against Burnley on Saturday and Klopp provided an update on Alisson’s recovery. James Pearce tweeted Klopp’s response regarding the Brazilian, and it isn’t good news for Liverpool.
The Brazilian is an excellent shot-stopper but what we miss the most is his composure with the ball at his feet.
The former Roma keeper can also launch attacks with his pinpoint kicks, and that is something which is missing from our game at the moment.
Adrian is a decent No.2 but we cannot expect him to play the majority of the games this season.
The international break commences after this weekend’s game and hopefully, the Brazilian returns to action soon.
