Liverpool kept their 100% winning record in the Premier League intact by dispatching Burnley 3-0.
However, the talking point from the clash was Sadio Mane losing his cool after being substituted.
The Senegal star scored in the win but seemed upset at Mohamed Salah not passing the ball when he was open.
Jordan Henderson was on the bench when Mane threw a fit, but the captain claimed things were fine after the game (h/t Mirror
):“I couldn’t really understand at first, but then when he came in, he was laughing and joking.”
The captain added that winning the game was most important and wanted to see this sort of fire from his teammates:
“Like I said, we want to push each other. We want to improve all the time. I quite like that now and again. I think we need it.”
Hendo added that Mane was fine and claimed the team can deal with all this as they push each other on.
The manager was also calm about the reaction from Mane and claimed everything was fine between the player.
Liverpool feature some of the best players in the world and it isn’t a surprise that they might lose their cool in certain situations.
Salah was partially at fault for not passing when players were free but the Egyptian always wants to score goals.
This incident should die down in the coming days as the players head off for the international break.
Liverpool have some big games once the players return, and it will be interesting to see the dynamic between Salah and Mane.
