Liverpool made it 13 straight Premier League wins, a club record after they defeated Burnley 3-0 on Saturday.
The Reds continued their winning streak from last season and kept their two–point lead over Manchester City at the top of the table.
Liverpool have won all four of their Premier League games this season and will head off to the international break in high spirits.
Jurgen Klopp put out a strong XI with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross going into the net in the first half.
Roberto Firmino was handed possession in the Burnley half and he slid Sadio Mane in to make it 2-0 before half-time.
Firmino then got the third late in the game to wrap up the points in a thoroughly mature performance.
Virgil van Dijk was excellent at the back again while Adrian was great too, and here are the player ratings from the clash.
No mistakes from the Spaniard this time. Adrian was equal to all efforts from the Burnley attack, and he looked great with his feet too.
Trent was a little lucky with his cross going in, and it was given as an own-goal, however, the Englishman was great in both attack and defence for the Reds.
Matip put up another great showing for the Reds as he had to deal with the likes of Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes.
Van Dijk seemed to be at the end of every cross that Burnley put into the box. The Dutch defender was supreme in keeping the opposition away and was excellent throughout the game.
Robbo might not be getting a lot of assists this season but he was great down the left and kept things ticking.
The Brazilian disrupted the Burnley attack several times as he tackled well and won possession for us.
Wijnaldum did his regular shift in the midfield as he kept possession well and linked up with the attack too.
The captain did a great job in controlling the midfield but he also supported Trent on the right and pumped in a few crosses. He also had one great chip for Mohamed Salah but the Egyptian was unlucky not to score.
Salah didn’t score but looked great as he hit the post early on. The Egyptian needs to pass the ball sometimes to the open man, but our front three were incredible against the Clarets.
Firmino was the pressing machine once again as he got a deserved goal in the second half. The Brazilian created the goal for Mane too and was excellent throughout the game.
Mane was visibly upset after being subbed as Salah made a couple of poor decisions, but the Senegal star was a threat all afternoon and took his chance really well in the first half.
Replaced Hendo later on and did a decent job in the minutes he got.
Shaq didn’t have a lot of time to impress.
Origi also picked up a few minutes right at the end.
