James Milner joined Liverpool from Manchester City
Sadio Mane was not happy when he was taken off in the 3-0 win over Burnley.
The Senegal international scored in the win over the Clarets but seemed to take offence to Mohamed Salah not passing the ball when open.
Jurgen Klopp also was upset with the Egyptian after a couple of such instances, but the manager claimed everything was going to be fine.
Mane, however, kept gesturing at the bench while walking off and had to be calmed down by James Milner.
The Liverpool veteran did his bit by trying to keep things in check on the bench, and the Englishman had a hilarious post regarding the outburst by the attacker.
It was great seeing this fire in Mane and Klopp will certainly deal with this minor hiccup once the players return after the international break. The Liverpool Echo
reports that Mane responded to Milner’s Instagram post and confirmed that the Englishman was correct in his assessment:“It’s exactly what I [had] been complaining [about]”.
Mane and Salah had to share the Golden Boot with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last season and it could be this rivalry that is simmering now.
The Reds cannot take any games lightly as any dropped points will see Manchester City take over.
