“We’ll see what will happen next summer” – £91m-rated Liverpool target to decide future next season

Liverpool FC transfer news: Havertz happy at Leverkusen for one more year but will decide future

Kai Havertz is one of the best in the Bundesliga and has been linked with a move away from Bayer Leverkusen for a while.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder was linked with eight Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, and also Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich (h/t Mirror).

However, he remained with his current club and even spoke about Timo Werner. The striker was also heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich and Havertz told Sky Germany (h/t Mirror

) that he will decide his future next season:

“They haven’t scared me off.

“I don’t know exactly what it was like with Timo [Werner], but it just didn’t happen for me this year. I think there were a number of reasons why.

“But I’m happy to be here and stay in Leverkusen for another year. We’ll see what will happen next summer.”

Havertz looking to make another big splash

Havertz is capable of playing on either wing and has already represented the Germany national team on several occasions.

Leverkusen will feature in the Champions League this season, and it will be interesting to see how the 20-year-old performs.

Kai Havertz

The German scored 17 goals and provided three assists in the Bundesliga last season, and has helped Leverkusen to an unbeaten start in the league this time.

Havertz would be an incredible addition to this Liverpool team and would provide Jurgen Klopp with a world-class option to rotate Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino.

The 20-year-old will improve further under the right management, but he won’t come on the cheap.

The Metro (h/t Mirror) claims that Leverkusen have slapped a £91m

price-tag on the German, and that might increase if he performs to his best this season.
