Liverpool interested in 23-year-old Napoli star Fabian Ruiz

Calciomercato claims that Liverpool are one of four clubs interested in signing Napoli’s Fabian Ruiz.

The 23-year-old midfielder was one of the stars for the Italian side last season and played 40 games for them in all competitions.

Ruiz featured in the U21 Euro Championship where he scored two goals and provided a couple of assists for the Spanish side.

The Spaniard can play in an attacking role but most of his starts come in a deeper position in the midfield.

Liverpool to fight with three other big clubs

The report claims that Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in the 23-year-old while Bayern Munich are also keen on Ruiz.

The Spaniard is contracted with Napoli till 2023, and the Italian side do not want to lose out on their star (h/t Calciomercato).

The report adds that several clubs were interested in signing Ruiz in the summer and Napoli will not let him leave on the cheap.

Ruiz seems to be a quality midfielder who would provide Jurgen Klopp with more options to mix up his team.

The 23-year-old has the potential to improve further, and it will be interesting to see how he performs this season.
