Napoli could be without two strikers for Champions League clash against Liverpool
The Reds travel to Italy as the Champions League group stage begins, and our toughest encounter is a trip to Naples.
Napoli defeated the Reds in the group stage last season in Italy but we beat them 1-0 at Anfield to progress to the knockout rounds.
Lorenzo Insigne was one of the stars for Napoli against the Reds last season, but the Italian is a doubt for the clash, according to the report.
Arkadiusz Milik is also a doubt for the clash as the striker will only return to training on Monday after being out for more than a month (h/t Mirror).
The pair missing out would be huge blows to the Italians but they have signed a couple of attackers in the summer.
Hirving Lozano joined from PSV while the Naples outfit also landed Fernando Llorente on a free.
Liverpool have to be wary of Napoli
Although the Reds should go into this tie with a lot of confidence, being the Champions League winners, they shouldn’t take things lightly against the Serie A side.
Carlo Ancelotti is one of the best managers in the world and we saw how tough the two games against Napoli were last season.
Liverpool’s other away trips in this season’s group games should be easier than the one against Napoli.
