Sadio Mane will keep using Roberto Firmino’s celebration this season

Sadio Mane has started this season in great fashion scoring a brace in our UEFA Super Cup win and also scoring against Burnley before the international break.

The 27-year-old has been relentless since his move from Southampton and is part of a great strike force.

Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah have also scored several goals over the past two seasons, and the trio have had some memorable celebrations.

Mane has been using one this season which Firmino debuted a few years ago.

The Senegal star was speaking to Complex regarding his use of Firmino’s celebration but admitted that he was going to stick with it (h/t LiverpoolFC.com):

“Each player in this squad, if you want to keep this celebration as your own it’s quite difficult because we score quite a lot!

“Bobby did that celebration two or three years ago, and I think he has had quite a few celebrations since.

“My celebration now is what I’m going to carry on doing throughout the year.”

The Senegal star added that Firmino would also copy some of his celebrations later.

The Brazilian has celebrated in several styles since joining the Reds. From his ‘kung-fu’ kicks,’ machine gun’ and the ‘nolook’ celebrations, Firmino always keeps the fans guessing as to what he will bring next.

The celebration being used by Mane was first brought up by Firmino, but we can allow the Senegal star to keep this one for the season.

The pair have been excellent so far this season and were in top form against Burnley too.
