Leicester City to demand close to £80million for Liverpool target James Maddison
The Manchester Evening News (h/t Express) claims that Liverpool are interested in Leicester City’s James Maddison.
The 22-year-old has been incredible since joining the Foxes from Norwich City and already has a couple of assists to his name this season.
The Englishman is one of the most creative players in the Premier League, and the report claims that Leicester would demand close to the £80million they got from the sale of Harry Maguire.
Maguire joined Manchester United in a huge deal during the summer window, and the Red Devils are also keen on his former teammate (h/t Express).
The Englishman has attracted the attention of Manchester City, according to the report, but United are hopeful that Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford can convince Maddison to join the Red Devils.
The Reds didn’t spend big in the summer window but signed a couple of young players to bolster their side.
Maddison a star in the making
The 22-year-old hasn’t been fazed by making the switch to the Premier League from the Championship and has only improved under Brendan Rodgers.
Liverpool have a fantastic team with several options for the midfield, but none of our players is as creative as Maddison is.
