Jurgen Klopp expects Naby Keita to be back after Napoli clash
Naby Keita has had a tough time with injuries since his move from RB Leipzig to Liverpool.
The Guinea international could have been a big part of our current season, however, he hasn’t featured for us since the loss in the Community Shield.
The midfielder came into the season with an injury, thanks to his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, and even missed the Champions League final last season with a problem.
Jurgen Klopp was speaking ahead of the game against Newcastle and claimed that Keita is close to returning and should be back after the Champions League clash against Napoli (h/t LiverpoolFC.com):
“Naby is close, much closer than Ali. I think he could be in training when we come back from Napoli next week.”
Liverpool need Keita to kick on
The Reds need Keita at his best as we look to defend our Champions League crown.
Keita was one of the best in the Bundesliga but hasn’t been able to remain fit for a long stretch of games.
The Guinea midfielder has also found form hard to come by, and it will be interesting to see when he returns to action for the Reds.
