Liverpool stars train hard ahead of Newcastle game on Saturday

Liverpool will hope to end this weekend by staying on top of the Premier League as they face Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Reds are the only side with a 100% winning record after four games and can keep their gap ahead of the chasing pack by seeing off Steve Bruce’s men.

Adrian

The Magpies have had a tough start under Bruce after Rafa Benitez left, but they did win against Tottenham, so Liverpool cannot take them lightly.

Adrian needs to be at his best after picking up a clean sheet against Burnley, and Newcastle would want to test the summer signing.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was seen in training and the Englishman’s crosses will be one of the keys to unlock the Newcastle defence.

The Englishman’s deflected cross opened the scoring against Burnley, and it will be interesting to see what he does on Saturday.

Andy Robertson was also pictured having some fun with Mohamed Salah, and the pair should start for us at Anfield.

Mane to bag more goals?

The talk of the last game was Sadio Mane’s outburst after being substituted. The Senegal international should also be given the nod up top, and it will be interesting to see how he performs.

Mane scored in the 3-0 win over Burnley, but the main man was Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian scored a goal and got an assist, and he could be up for more damage on Saturday.

Virgil van Dijk has looked great in the past two games and should keep things tight at the back alongside Joel Matip.

Joe Gomez has been kept out of the starting line-up, thanks to Matip, and the former Schalke star has formed a great partnership with Van Dijk.

Jordan Henderson has also had a fine start to the season, and we need another quality performance from the captain this weekend.

Liverpool also play in the Champions League in midweek, and we need to get three points against Newcastle before facing Napoli in Italy.
