Dean Henderson gaffe hands Liverpool 1-0 win over Sheffield United
Liverpool were made to work hard for their 1-0 win over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
The hosts have been excellent this season after coming up from the Championship and gave the Reds a fright throughout the game.
The Blades had several chances to score but some great defending and goalkeeping ensured we kept our second clean sheet of the Premier League campaign.
Sadio Mane had the best chances in the first half but hit the post after some great work by Roberto Firmino. There weren’t many clear cut chances in the first 45 minutes, and the teams went into the break at 0-0.
Fans believe this is champion material
Salah also had a great chance to score in the second half but the goal came via a Sheffield mistake. Dean Henderson, on loan from Manchester United, couldn’t hold on to a speculative hit from Georginio Wijnaldum.
This was the second such gift that has been handed to the Reds including one in the 2-0 win over MK Dons in the Carabao Cup. The Reds held on well against a dogged Sheffield team to keep their winning run going.
Liverpool
Many Liverpool fans were pleased with the win and highlighted our champion mentality.
