Jurgen Klopp upset at prospect of Carabao Cup third round replay
Liverpool face the prospect of replaying their Carabao Cup fixture against MK Dons, according to the Times (h/t Metro).
The Reds won the third round clash 2-0, thanks to goals from James Milner and Ki-Jana Hoever in a commanding display.
However, Pedro Chirivella was brought on as a substitute in the second half, with the player not receiving the clearance to play.
Liverpool could be thrown out of the competition or handed a fine, but the report claims a replay is more likely. That has not gone down well with Klopp as the German claimed he would be “horrified” at the prospect of playing another game (h/t Metro).
The Reds have a packed schedule, with the Champions League and the Club World Cup adding to their Premier League fixtures.
Klopp’s team have been drawn against Arsenal in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup and the German would not be happy at being thrown out of the competition either (h/t Metro).
Liverpool should play the kids in the replay
The Reds cannot afford to play another competitive game due to their packed schedule.
Should the game be replayed, the kids must start for the Reds. Liverpool
