Real Madrid and Barcelona to fight for Fabian Ruiz’s signature

Fabian Ruiz has been one of the best midfielders in the Serie A and has attracted the attention of several clubs.

The 23-year-old did a great job against Liverpool in Napoli’s Champions League win over the Reds and has been linked with a move to Merseyside (h/t Sky Sports).

The Reds can always do with extra quality in the team, however, two Spanish giants are interested in Ruiz.

Mundo Deportivo (h/t Sky Sports) claims that Real Madrid and Barcelona will fight it out for the 23-year-old’s signature.

Summer battle on the cards

Real and Barca could do with some fresh faces in the midfield, with the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Ivan Rakitic all ageing.

The Napoli midfielder has the potential to improve further and the La Liga giants will battle for the Spaniard in the summer (h/t Sky Sports).

Ruiz helped the U21 Spanish side to lift the Euros in the summer, and has one goal for Napoli this season.

Liverpool will have another good look at the midfielder when Napoli visit Anfield in the Champions League group stage.
