Alisson to start against Manchester United after proving fitness
Liverpool will start Alisson in goal against Manchester United on Sunday, according to the Mirror.
The 27-year-old injured his calf in the first Premier League game of the season against Norwich City and hasn’t played since.
Adrian replaced Alisson and has been one of our best players this season. The Spaniard has made some wonderful saves but seems set to be on the bench against United.
The report adds that three Liverpool players rejoined training on Tuesday, and Alisson convinced Jurgen Klopp of his fitness. The Brazilian was the best keeper in the Premier League last season and won the Champions League.
A big presence in goal for Liverpool
The 27-year-old is a bigger presence in goal for the Reds and provides us with a lot more than Adrian.
The Brazilian’s distribution is an added bonus and he is great with his feet. It is a little risky to start Alisson in such a big game but the keeper has a lot of experience and should do just fine.
Liverpool need a top performance from all their players at Old Trafford on Sunday. Although we are in better form, nothing can be taken for granted against our biggest rivals.
