Liverpool are ready to sell Adam Lallana if he doesn’t make it to the first-team, according to reports (h/t Sky Sports).
The English midfielder has struggled with injuries for the past two seasons and only has three substitute appearances in the Premier League this campaign.
The 31-year-old only made six starts in all competitions last season barring the Carabao Cup, and needs to step up if he sees a future at Anfield. The midfielder was tried in a deeper position against MK Dons recently but faces a lot of competition for regular first-team
action.Lallana is undoubtedly one of the most technically-gifted players in the team but there is no point in keeping him if his fitness isn’t up the scratch.
Daniel Sturridge was the best finisher in the side but was rarely fit and struggled to play in our system.
We allowed the Englishman to leave in the summer, and letting Lallana go would not hurt our
side too much. The Reds have several players coming through the ranks while Marko Grujic could provide another option in the midfield. Naby Keita should get more minutes this season, and it will be interesting to see how he does.
Lallana should get more opportunities to prove his worth to Jurgen Klopp due to our packed schedule.
Liverpool cannot afford to keep dead weight and hopefully, Lallana turns his career around before the end of the season.
