Sadio Mane has turned out to be one of the best bits of business done in the last five years of the Premier League.
The Senegal star joined Liverpool after impressing at Southampton and helped us win the Champions League last season.
He was also instrumental in the Reds winning the UEFA Super Cup and has continued his goal–scoring ways since winning the Golden Boot last time around.
The forward helped the Reds win against Spurs at Anfield by getting a penalty. Mane has been on a different level over the past 18 months and told Norwegian outlet TV he doesn’t want to leave (h/t Liverpool Echo):
“I am very happy to be part of this great club and I enjoy it. Hopefully I stay here forever.”
The 27-year-old added that the Reds are “unique” and are “family” too, before highlighting how the mood is “incredible”.
Mane might not be the one who is always in the limelight but he is just as important a player for us as anyone else.
The Senegal star’s work rate is incredible and he always hounds the opposition to make a mistake.
Mane also won an important penalty against Leicester earlier in the season, which came in the final minute of the game.
The 27-year-old is just hitting his prime at Anfield and hopefully, he continues putting in quality performances on a regular basis.
He is one of the best in the world and is irreplaceable in our current team.
